Planning the interview is screening but on a higher level. You prepare the guidelines for points you want covered in the interview. Check the resume and study the contents, doing background study on information that may seem vague. Take note of the gray areas that need some clarification and ask about them during the actual interview. Behavioral patterns should be analyzed to determine if it is really inherent in the person’s character. When you have decided on the actual list and have decided on the focus areas, prepare your guide questions as well as the criteria for which you will be judging the selected applicants.
